Creator Night at Sterrenwacht Eindhoven
On Friday 4 September at 20:00 we will be guests at Sterrenwacht Eindhoven. Eugène de Goeij (PR) and Maarten Klomp (chair) will welcome us to the historic Dr. A.F. Philips Observatory for a conversation about the observatory, a look behind the scenes and plenty of opportunities to make unusual photographs.
Bring your camera. Astronomical photography depends on weather, darkness, available time and the instructions on site, so specific celestial objects cannot be guaranteed. Even under cloudy skies, the observatory itself is a highly photogenic location.

Photography inspiration
What kind of photos can you make here?
Think bold architecture images of the round tower and dome, details of the historic telescope, atmospheric interior photography and — when skies are clear and the programme allows — photographs of the night sky. The EWSK deep-sky gallery shows how spectacular astrophotography can become, from nebulae and star clusters to galaxies.

Below is the deep-sky gallery from Sterrenwacht Eindhoven. These examples are inspiration; what we can actually observe or photograph on 4 September depends on conditions and the evening programme.
